Laser Coding for Food & Beverage Packaging

Choose the laser through a sample review
COâ‚‚, UV and fiber systems are different application candidates. A packaging name alone does not select the correct laser. Compare the mark produced on your actual surface before committing to the source or power.

Specify the code and production conditions
- Supply the actual date, batch, text, barcode or QR code layout rather than a generic description.
- State code dimensions, the marking area and the distance between products.
- Provide current and target line speed, product orientation and any speed variation.
- Explain how changing dates or batch data will be supplied to the system.
- Define the inspection, unreadable-code handling and rejection requirements if required.
Review the feeding and coding workflow
The supplied paging-machine video shows individual flat packs being separated, conveyed and date coded. It is a feeding/coding reference, not evidence that every food-packaging material has been validated.

Evaluate code readability, contrast, position and the finished surface. Include the relevant packaging integrity checks in the acceptance plan. Confirm the production result using your packaging, code and line conditions.
